Tech Tutorial: Learning Cascading Style Sheets (CSS) – Episode 06: Class Selectors

When using CSS to style elements within an HTML document, you must first grab a hold of the specific element(s) you want to style (we call this obtaining a reference). CSS provides several methods for targeting HTML elements for styling. One such method is the use of class selectors, which is selecting HTML elements by a developer created keyword assigned to the elements through the use of the element’s ‘class’ attribute. For example, selecting all DIV tags that have a ‘class’ attribute with the keyword ‘container’.
